Women & Hair Covering (Part 2 of the Hair Covering Series)

Franny Waisman was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee and moved to Israel in 2006 in order to learn about Judaism on a deeper level and connect with the land of Israel. She pursued a degree in Tanach and Philosophy at Herzog Academy and is a licensed tour guide by the Israel Ministry of Tourism and has been guiding all over Israel since 2007. Franny is a singer and songwriter and has studied dance, theater and the fine arts. She is the Mashgicha Ruchanit and Torah teacher at Midreshet Emunah V’Omanut. Today she lives in Efrat with her husband Evyatar and four sons.

Amy Guttmann, OTR/L, neurodevelopmental pediatric occupational therapists, has been treating families and children with over 40 years of experience between herself and her sister. Better known as one the “Guttmann Sisters”, her focus has been on educating and empowering the community on the prevention of anxiety and social-emotional delays. A graduate of SUNY Health Science Center of New York, she, along with her sister, Evelyn, currently run Hands on OT Rehab, a private practice focused on treating children with anxiety and processing delays, as well as a practice focused on training and educating therapists, pediatricians, educators, and parents. They have evaluated over 5,000 children and have been guest lecturers in some of the most prominent universities around the world. Founders of Hands on Approaches and the non-profit, the H.O.P.E. (Hands on Parent Empowerment) Foundation, their specialties include Sensory Integration, NDT training, reflex integration, auditory processing specialization, and behavioral management. They are the authors of internationally recognized articles on screen time and anxiety in children and are currently conducting research on sensory processing disorder and anxiety diagnosis. Dini Weinberg is the founder and creative director of Dini Wigs. From her start as a hairstylist in Jerusalem, Israel, and now as proprietor of the Dini brand, Dini has always been recognized as a visionary artist with impeccable touch. A self-proclaimed perfectionist, Dini is the only wig manufacturer who manufactures her wigs in the USA, enabling her to oversee every aspect of production. “I handpick every strand of hair, and guide each wig to perfection,” Dini says. Every wig that comes from the Dini factory is testament to Dini’s perfect skill and attention to detail.

I never stop being amazed that 25 years ago, Ramat Beit Shemesh didn't exist. Today it goes on and on and on; RBS A alone has over 100 synagogues - and there's also RBS B,C, D, and E - with more on the way.

I witness the Ingathering of the Exiles every time I walk outside.
