Maimonides Minute – Hilchot Kriat Shma 4:7-8 (Exemption or Prohibition?)

Although a person about to bury his relative is exempt from mitzvot, is he allowed to say Kriat Shma if he so desires? The Rambam and the Raavad have very different approaches to this question.

My son Netanel - who tested positive for COVID-19 but is feeling good - on his way to a hotel for yeshiva students who tested positive. They can interact with each other, learn Torah, and pray in a quorum without fear of transmitting disease to others.
