Why does the chazan say a shortened version of Chazarat HaShatz – the “Me’eyn Sheva” – on Friday nights, whereas he normally does not repeat the Amidah at Maariv? If Shabbat falls on yom tov, why is the holiness of yom tov not mentioned in the Me’eyn Sheva?
