Hilchot Berachot 2:13-14 (Forgetting Yaaleh v’Yavo or Al HaNisim)

Why is there a special addition to Birkat HaMazon if someone forgets Yaaleh v’Yavo on Rosh Chodesh, but not on Chol HaMoed? (Spoiler: there isn’t a clear answer.)

No matter where you stand politically, this is the wonderful America I remember from my youth and this is the culture that I am going to do everything in my power to bring to Israel - including the necessary electoral reform to allow for it.
